The Challenge
The existing system relied heavily on paper-based processes, causing unnecessary delays and making it difficult to verify user information. Without an integrated online payment system, members had to complete transactions in person, leading to inconvenience. Furthermore, there was no efficient way to help users locate accredited healthcare providers, and the lack of integration with national identification databases meant that verifying member details was cumbersome and prone to errors.
Solution
To address these challenges, a robust database schema was designed to store and manage health insurance records efficiently. A secure API infrastructure was built to facilitate seamless data exchange between the platform and external systems, including the national ID registry.
The integration of a geospatial database enabled users to easily locate healthcare providers within their vicinity. Additionally, the system was enhanced with multiple payment gateways, allowing members to make online payments through various methods.
A user-friendly dashboard was also developed to enable administrators to track system performance, generate reports, and manage user queries.
